Hello, Cookie Club Dancers, here is the intended program for tomorrow afternoon, we hope to cover most of the Calls on the Advanced List (A1 & A2) and a little review on "Square The Bases" Why? you ask, because it is a great Positional Practice Call, where Dancers must remain aware of where they are at every moment during the Call.
The Definition for Square The Bases, states that the Centres: Square Thru Three Hands, while The Ends Pass Thru and do an Ends Bend, they then start a Split Square Thru 2, finishing with the Centres, and All Trade By. here is a little tip, when the Ends Pass Thru, they must go forward a little extra to clear the Centres who are doing the Square Thru 3 and may take up to much space while doing it.  Once the Ends have cleared the Centres they can do an exact Ends Bend and start the Split Square Thru 2, The next little wiggle part for those in the Centre, is the Trade By which is a Right Shoulder Pass.
"Rotary Spin" was the other Call we were playing with, but I think everyone understands it fairly well.

Just so you understand why, I try to get you all through some of these Calls is, because, I truly believe, looking at these different Calls, which are somewhat complex, is just a way we can have a little fun, learn, and at the same time it helps all the Dancers gain more Positional Awareness and Control, which will prove to be a huge asset, should you get the opportunity to learn the next Program "C1" or Dance to one of the Professional Callers

Hopefully the weather and the roads will be good for driving tomorrow and we'll see you on the Dance Floor.

Today is The Cookie Club and I hope the roads are good and most of us can get there, I think we all know the drill by now, as many A1 & A2 Calls as we can get to and of course "All 4 Couples & All 8", "In Roll, Out Roll, & Split Motivate", how about "Rotary Spin", do you remember "Ah So", maybe with a few helper words, and a New Call, "Square The Bases", it's not so much trying to memorizing these Calls from the other list, as it is to prepare you should you ever want to move along, plus, it keeps our minds stimulated and working at close to the apex (well, it's overworking my mind, but that's okay).

Sunday, January 11, 2015

Hello, I'm sorry I didn't get this posted earlier, but I ran out of time. Here is the intended Program for Sunday Jan. 11, 2015.

Cookie Club Program for today is, run through the Advanced list, and work on "In Roll Motivate", "Out Roll Motivate", "All 4 Couples Single Circle to a Wave", "All 8 Dixie Style to a Wave", "All 8 Reverse Dixie Style to a Wave", "All 8 Crossfire", "Diamond Chain Thrufrom Facing Diamonds, and if you're good, maybe, we could look at either "Rotary Spin" or "Square The Bases" but not both and only after we see how we all do on the Advanced stuff first. If you have a request to look at some other Advanced Call, just let me know and we'll do it. Anyway that's the plan for today and I hope we see you there and that the driving is good.

We hope to see you there.

Good morning COOKIE CLUB DANCERS, the program for tomorrow's (December 14th) Cookie Club will be easy, relaxing, Advanced Dancing, that means as many of the Calls on the "A1" & "A2" List, I can cover in the two hours. If there are Calls you would like a review on, or a Call you would like to practice, please let me know tomorrow afternoon, and I'll do my best to give you my best rendition of that Call.

Saturday's Program for the Cookie Club, November 23

Tomorrow, Sunday, November 23rd is The Cookie Club, and oh, what ever are we going to work on that will increase our knowledge of Definitions, Position, and Formations? "All Eight Dixie Style to a Wave", "All Eight Reverse Dixie Style to a Wave" could be neat, along with "All 4 Couples Square Chain Thru" and "All 4 Couples Left Square Chain Thru". How about the difference between "Grand Remake" and "Remake The Column", or "Left Spin The Windmill, Ahead"starting from Facing Lines. So, if we get through all that and all the Calls on the A1 & A2 List, including In Roll, Out Roll & Split Motivate we could look at, "Common Spot Diamonds", and/or "Interlocked Diamonds" as in "Switch to an Interlocked Diamond", "Interlocked Diamond Circulate" & "Cut The Interlocked Diamond". Or we could, as always do Dancers Choice where you pick the Call you want to work on and we do that. I know, you're going to say, this is an aggressive program, but remember, it's only as aggressive as you want it to become, I make the Program, your skills will determine how far I can push it.Tomorrow is the second last Cookie Club for 2014 and December 14th will be the last, We will start back on Sunday January 11 2015.

Cookie Club program for tomorrow:

Peel Off starting from a Two Faced Line, then moving it up a notch to "Trail Off" from a Two Faced Line, if that is successful I'll move it up another notch to Peel and Trail form a Two Faced Line, if we can do all that, it will also be a perfect day.

All 4 Couples and All 8 Concept: we will work more with the Calls that can be danced using these concepts.

Left: Spin The Windmill, AheadRight or Left: starting with facing Dancers in the centre and using Left to Clarify.

In Roll Circulate 1 & 1/2: Time permitting we will get back to a little Practice at this.

That will likely fill the afternoon of Dancing, when we tie it all together using as many Calls as possible from the Callerlab Advanced List.
